Five Lifford Players start in U13 All Ireland Shield Final against North Eastern Counties League (NECSL

Very hard luck to our five Lifford Players Sean O’Callaghan, Rhys Farmer, Sean Meere, Ciarán Murphy and Arthur Cecotka all starting in the Clare U13 Yellow Squad making the All Ireland Shield Final Sat 25th June.

The game started brightly with Sean Meere coming inside fro the left scoring the opening goal. U13 Clare made load of changes during the game to give the whole squad game time. Clare still winning 1-0 up to 88minute until North Eastern Counties League (NECSL scored the equaliser.

In extra time Clare Manager Fabio Messori went back to his starting 11, two chance’s created but wasn’t enough as NECSL pushed on to win 3-1 in extra time.

Clare U13 have two squads, great achievement and learning for the U13 Yellow Squad already planning next season ahead with great confidence as the squads move forward to the Kennedy Cup Age Group.
