Semi Final: U13 Lifford 3-0 Newmarket Celtic

A early start for Lifford to take control of the game with good link up play between Rhys Farmer and Ciaran Murphy, with Ciaran cooly finishing into the bottom corner to give Lifford an early lead 3 minutes into the start of the game.

Lifford controlled the game with good possession, again Rhys Farmer passing onto on coming Centre Back Sean Meere to finish with a long range shot into the roof of the net.

2-0 at half time Lifford needed another goal to kill the game off, it came through a free kick awarded after Tadhg O’Loughlin being a constant threat down the right hand side with Lifford’s Right Back - AJ Sydney overlapping on the right wing.

Rhys Farmer taking the free driving a low free kick going into towards the bottom corner only for the Newmarket defender to stick a foot out deflecting ball into the net.

Great team performance playing well in defence Captain Sean O’Callaghan and a clean sheet for GK Arther Ceotka. Lifford now look forward to playing Avenue Utd in the U13 Clare Cup Final on Saturday 17th September ko 11am at the Frank Healy County Ground.
