Chris Speirs, a former schoolboy coach at Lifford AFC, was expelled from the club earlier this year.

There are malicious unsubstantiated allegations being posted on an Instagram account controlled by Chris Speirs impersonating as ‘Lifford News’

These posts are directed at administrators in the club in an attempt to damage their reputations and by extension the reputation of the Lifford Football Club

The site purports to be news bulletin from Lifford AFC. All bulletins information regarding the Lifford AFC club are only posted via "ClubZap – Lifford AFC".

The members of Lifford AFC continue to cater for boys and girls via the clubs’ Academy, Schoolboys/girls and also Senior Men’s team.

Lifford Football Club was established in 1961, has served the Youth of Ennis for over sixty years and will continue to do so. The club will explore every legal avenue open to them to protect the good name of the club its members and administrators.
