The u16 season has finished and what a season the boys delivered, an u16 cup final appearance and just 2 defeats in the league all season the boys have shown great desire and willingness to play every match to the end. We also had 6 players representing Clare this year in both the u16 team and u16 development squad . We traveled to London this year on our trip , where we visited the famous Wembley Stadium , played an International friendly against Ealing Whistlers and went to visit Loftus Road to watch QPR V Sheffield Utd , Where we bumped into Ireland manager Stephen Kenny.!!! A big thanks goes out to Donal, Mike & Cathal for looking after the boys and to the parents for getting the boys to training and matches .So well done to everyone involved. The group are the first to graduate from the Lifford academy with some of the boys starting when they were 6 years old they now move out of Summer Soccer and will compete in the u17 CDSL league & cup over the winter months so we wish them all the best for the future.
