U14 National Cup R4 Win for U14 Lifford AFC, nerve ending game from start to finish, now in last 32 in Ireland.
In the first half Lifford AFC defended very solid from set pieces. After very slow start Lifford started get into the game, with some very good runs forward from Lifford‘s striker Sean Meere at Dromore Ute’s back 4. Lifford were very dominant in midfield from Rhys Farmer passing forward and Sean Garvey energy to get forward and support striker Sean Meere. Lifford‘s build-up play from back, was very good from Lifford‘s GK Arther Cecotka and Lifford Captain Sean O’Callaghan. The first half ended very even.
In the second half, Lifford were very dominant from the kick out, getting forward in numbers especially from midfielders Rhys Farmer and Sean Garvey, this was great support for Sean Meere and wide player Kaylum Mata getting forward down the right wing causing problems for Dromore Utd‘s left back. Eventually, Lifford‘s tactic to get the ball forward as quick as they could paid off with Striker Sean Meere scoring into the 18 yard box.
The game virtually over in the last minutes with Dromore Utd Players pushing to seek the equalise. The equalising goal came when Lifford never press Dromore Utd’s left winger with his cross into the box turned into shot sailed over Lifford’s GK Arther Cecotka into the back of the net for extra-time.

In extra-time the game both teams battled hard and time blow for penalties. Lifford winning 4-2 in penalties.
